The Clayton State Library offers two services that allow you to borrow items from other libraries.

GIL Express allows you to borrow books from any library that is part of the University System of Georgia. This includes all public colleges and universities in the state of Georgia. You can request books online or pick them up in person at the other library. When requested online, books usually arrive at Clayton State in 3-5 days. Instructions for borrowing books through GIL Express are on the Library Services LibGuide.

InterLibrary Loan allows you to borrow books and receive journal articles from libraries around the world. To request items through InterLibrary Loan, you will fill out a simple online form. But you need to do so early. Books can take up to two weeks to arrive and journal articles can take up to a week. Instructions for submitting an InterLibrary Loan request can be found on the Library Services LibGuide.
